Forcing WEBES to re-subscribe to events

When I upgrade an HP-UX Server (cold install), all its WBEM subscriptions must be redone. As far as SIM is concerned, I simply ask it to subscribe to WBEM events for that host and I'm done.

However, it seems that WEBES doesn't resubscribe automatically, or if it does it must wait a long time before doing it as I waited for 12+ hours and didn't see anything happening.

The only solution I found to have it resubscribe is to restart the director. It seems to rescan all its entities, and eventually resubscribes the host. But that's not ideal.

Is there any way to do this while keeping WEBES up?

Thanks

Re: Forcing WEBES to re-subscribe to events

Hello,
currently there are two reasons why WEBES initiates a new WBEM subscription:
1) restart of the director service
2) a new system is added to WEBES

That's what I was afraid of.

Thanks, Frauke.
