HP RS Advanced 5.5 Contract and Warranty Data Collection problem
Have SIM and RSA installed on a VM server.
Contract and Warranty collection was working previously. Has been failing as of Thursday last week, 8/12/10.
The error is:
There was no response from the Service Essentials Remote Support Pack client and/or the remote back-end contract and warranty service at hp.com. Verify the Service Essentials Remote Support Pack client service is running, properly configured and that the HP SIM server has access to the internet.
SIM Server access the internet: yes
Remote Support Pack client running on sim: yes
Could use a bit of help here. Thanks!

Re: HP RS Advanced 5.5 Contract and Warranty Data Collection problem
1. Go to the options->remote support
and some character e.g. additional space in a address field in the settings page.
update registration.
Do not forget to check the the proxy setting also on the setting page.
Does the update really work?
2. I had a similar situation some weeks ago
not IRSA 5.50 related. It was a new proxy software release with a filtering problem.
You can check this by sending a test evenet to HP e.g. "wccproxy test" if your ISEE Status goes from Pending to Other you can be sure the problem is proxy related because the protocol to HP did not change.
3. I guess you have RSSWM on automatic update?!
