HP RS Software Management Agent Lost Connectivity Alert

Is this alert something to be concerned about? HP Remote Support Software Management Agent Lost Connectivity Alert Does anyone know how to restart the polling of the software Management agent. It stated that it hadn't contact HP for three days.This is the only notification you will receive for this outage.Please investigate the problem and take appropriate action.Note: this alert ONLY pertains to the Software Management Agent. Other software components such as incident processing, data collections,
remote connectivity, etc. may not be affected.

Try restarting the RSSWM agent.
I had the same notice today and one time over a week ago. Restarting the agent seemed to work for me.

Hi There

Basically you get this alert because the Software Download manager has not checked for updates within 3 days.

Fix: go in and set it to check for updates every 2nd day

At least that worked for me seems the backend does not retain that you have set this to a higher value than 3 day

In my case I had set it to weekly checking
