HP SIM 6.3 contract and warranty status

I have just installed HP SIM 6.3, it is seeing all the systems but the contract and warranty status remains with a blue ?

 

any suggestions are appreciated.

Hi,

 

 

If the warranty and contract status is incorrectly displayed, you may try the below step:

 

Step 1 - Logout the HP SIM application

Step 2 - Stop the HP SIM Service

Step 3 - Copy the file CWStatusSourceReg.properties from the ISEE config directory (C:\Program Files\Hewlett-Packard\RemoteSupport\config) to the HP SIM setup directory (C:\Program Files\HP\Systems Insight Manager\setup).

Step 4 - Start the HP SIM Service

Step 5 - Open the HP SIM application

Step 6 - Check the Column status

 

 

If you are running HP Insight Remote Support Advance - v5.6 with SIM 6.3, the Contract and Warranty Data Collection Fails and CW Column Shows “ ? ” for CMS Server.

 

 

This happens if the CMS server is VMWARE guest OS. Hence Contract and warranty data collection fails for VMWARE guest Operating System. As CMS was on guest OS.
