HP Unified Collector Service uc.exe 5.60.16.16 failed to start - faulting module: wmigen.dll

Trying to start the "HP Unified Collector Service" give the following error in the application log:

when I have problems getting uc to start, It's sometimes a problem with corruption in the uc_config.xml file. to recover, go to the unifiedcollector\conf directory and rename uc_config.xml to something like uc_configold.xml then copy uc_config.xml from the newconf directory to the conf directory and start the uc service. you will need to reconfigure your passwords following this process.

Has anyone resolved this issue? I am getting the same error, I really would perfer not to have to re-install the remote support piece

There is a known issue about the module WMIgen but only when stopping the UC service (just not closing properly). Are you sure it's during the start of UC service and if it's during the start do you know if UC.exe will stop running because of this issue?
