Hosting Device "not eligible"

Hosting Device "not eligible"

we have IRS 7.08 installed in a vmware 5.1 VM running Windows 2008R2 SP1

All seems to be working fine except for the fact that the "hosting" devices is marked as not eligible as in the picture attached

Also the vm has two IP address and the one shown is not the "correct" one as it's the one connected to an iscsi network

If I understand correctly the hosting server is virtual. If this is the case the hosting server will not be eligible since there is no associated hardware to monitor. What you want to do is to monitor the  VMhost for this guest using valid WBEM credentials. You will need to use HP provided image or install the WBEM bundle so the host has the correct WBEM providers.

Brad is correct, when the hosting server is virtual, it will not be eligible. As he also stated, you should install the correct WBEM providers on the physical hosts in your VMWare cluster and discover them with Insight Remote Support to have them supported.
