Doing some debugging. I noticed that /etc/services wasn't updated for port 5060. Do I need to add one? Do I add something similar to the following:
isee 5060/tcp # ISEE
isee 5060/udp # ISEE
isee 5060/tcp # ISEE
isee 5060/udp # ISEE

You don't need to add this port in the services file. But I would make sure that port 5060 is not used by another application:
# cat /etc/services | grep 5060
# netstat -a
# lsof
# cat /etc/services | grep 5060
# netstat -a
# lsof
Life is a promise, fulfill it!

Re: ISEE Install - No entries in /etc/services - Do I need to add some?
Hi,
U don't have to update /etc/services file manually
it will automatically update while installing the software
if u want to monitor then make the communication with the software
check the open port using the netstat -a command
Thanx

Re: ISEE Install - No entries in /etc/services - Do I need to add some?
Hello!
No need add them to /etc/services,
but could be that some program use this port.
What kind of problem you have with?
Post the error or what you have here.
