ISEE configuration files need copying from server A to server B

Hi all,

I need to capture and copy all the ISEE config files from an old server to a new server which has now replaced the original. Can anyone advise please which files I would need to copy over manually from server A to B ?

Any tweaks that need to be done afterwards perhaps ? , to modify server names or IP addresses within the ISEE configuration (as the new server has new IP address, but the SPOP server will "know" about the old addresses I guess)

Thanks in advance,

Ian

Are you are running MS windows?

If you are talking about a Proliant server that needs to be replaced then the only option you have is to (re)install the
ISEE client.

A few things you need to do to get it right:

-HP management agents should be installed
(they normally are)
-Configure the 'SNMP service'. (you can type them over from the old server)
-Open OSEM. Click on the 'managed systems' menu. Remove the old server and create a new entry for the new server.
-Install the ISEE client
-Send a 'test trap' from the new server to
verify functionality. (you should see a notification in OSEM)
A 'test trap' can be send from 'HP management agents' in 'control panel'

Hi,

The best way and easy way is to install ISEE on the new Server B.

Each ISEE Server has its own "Unique Key ID" based on the IP address and hostname, therefore you won't be able to copy from one to another.
Installation won't take long at all.

If you need to find out the settings on the old Server, they are in file motprefs (Contact Info, Company Info, Proxy Info...).
