Re: ISEE
swinstall -x autoreboot=true -x reinstall=false -s /full_path_of_depot \*
Will handle the install.
swcopy not required.

Re: ISEE
i think you have to install the standard ISEE. The advanced version comes with an extra W2k Server and is installed only by HP. So the steps to install the ISEE on HP-UX 11.0 are:
- dl the .depot file
- do an swinstall -s /
- after installation start a webbrowser: http://
Now you can start to fill in your Contact Information, Proxy, System Handle,...

Re: ISEE
the messages in the logfile should not be a problem. Install the client, configure it through the web interface (http://
The swcopy is needed only for the preconfigured depot. If you need to install several systems with the same contact information, you can create a preconfigured depot so you don├Г ├В┬┤t have to enter all the information in the web UI for every single client.

Re: ISEE
HP said these patches must be installed:
http://h61001.www6.hp.com/ISEE_Support/HPUX_PatchListA.03.00.html
I'm running 11.0 and the company policy states not to get the HP-UX box online, how can I install and configure ISEE without getting the HP-UX online.
HP advised SPOP but no response from them until this moment.
Please advise

Re: ISEE
the patches needed for ISEE are included in the IPR bundle from December 2001. If no bundle is installed, you will find a list of the individual patches on the web page you mentioned.
To get ISEE working you need a connection from every client to the internet. You do not need a direct connection, you can use a proxy to establish the internet connection and an authentification is possible (exception: ISEE is unable to do a NTLM authentication). In an advanced configuration, so a configuration with an SPOP, all clients communicate through the SPOP. This configuration depends on the level of your contract, please ask you local response center.

Re: ISEE
exception: ISEE is unable to do a NTLM authentication.
Where did you get this information from? please provide documets or links that talks about NTLM with ISEE!
No, there isn't a direct connection from my HP-UX box to the internet. I installed and configured the ISEE but the browser didn't come up with the servername, it came up with the IP address of my server instead. The workstation that I'm using to configure the ISEE is connected directly to the internet.
My support agreement will not cover the SPOP!
any ideas.

Re: ISEE
check the Getting Started Guide for SC for ISEE. In my version on page 10:
"Proxy Support
ISEE supports connecting directly to the Internet or connecting through a proxy server. ISEE supports all proxy servers conforming to the HTTP/1.0 Specification. At this time, ISEE does not support proxies using proxy auto-configuration scripts or NTLM authentication (also known as Integrated Windows Authentication). If you are not sure if your proxy server is supported, contact your HP Support Representative."
You can find this documents at http://docs.hp.com/hpux/pdf/5187-4247.pdf
If the browser does not come up with the server name, you should check the name resolutions. The nslookup should work for IP --> name and name --> IP. This should work for you proxy and isee.europe.hp.com
