Insight RS 7.0.5: hyphen in email (patch)

Well, short question.

 

Since the current version HP_Insight_Remote_Support_Version_7.0.5_hprs_7.0.5.0193.exe has still the problem regarding the email address, is a fix available via the update feature of the installed Insight RS product?

Hi,

 

Yes, the fix for the email address is included in the 7.0.5 'Insight Remote Support Application Patch' (7.0.5.233) available through the Insight-RS Version Control screen.

But it looks like the download of CLU 7.0.5.153 fail?

The install of CLU #153 automatically includes the installation of the Insight-RS application patch (and can take ~5-10 minutes to complete in full with a couple service restarts in the process).  Does the Version Control interface report that that patch installed correctly but the CLU did not (has a red 'x')?

 

If so, I would simply select the CLU and choose to install it again.

Actually, hold on - there is something else going on there (sorry - I missed the screen shot with my last reply).  We are working on revisioning the CLU number to be correctly handled.  Hold off on this update for a bit - we're checking it now.

OK, figured this one out...

 

The 7.0.5 Insight-RS Application Patch (7.0.5.233) includes a version check fix that had previously intrepreted the CLU version of .153 being lower than .70 (a string compare vs. an integer compare) . 

 

But, if you just download the CLU #153, then the fix from the application patch has not been installed and the logic reports the error.  You have a couple different options to get around this:

  1. Select to install CLU #153 as this has a dependeny on the application patch (7.0.5.233) that will put the needed version check fix in place before the CLU is actually installed.
  2.  Install the Application Patch (7.0.5.233) first and then re-download CLU #153 - this will get rid of the red x since the new version check fix is now in place.

Sorry for the confusion on this.  We'll make an addition to the release notes to clarify this as well.
