Insight remote support not automaticlly dialing home faults to HP
So since upgrading to the latest version of irs, i've had a server with a failed disk alert on HP SIM which also has IRS installed. And i can see HP SIM found the issue, but i can't see that it ever got sent to IRS to log home. Is there a way i can force the failed to automatrically dial home?
On the ilo page i've tried running a data collection and a AHS log collection which complete fine. I can see in the system summary that it shows i have a failed disk in the iLO. So the question is why isn't being automatically uploaded to HP.

Re: Insight remote support not automaticlly dialing home faults to HP
Is this a Gen8/9 Server? Did you check the IML and ILO logs for the event to be dsipatch to eRS.
SIM uses SNMP while IRS uses RIBCL protocol for monitoring. the SNMP protoocl reads the IML so all events logged are sent to SIM console. The ILO Log (not the IML) will have the details if the event is sent to eRS (embedded IRS) on the ILO4. quite anumber of event handling issues were resolved after uprading th ILO4 to f/w v2.50
