Linux servers show CW status but not on RS system list
Correctly showing CW status for all systems.
However, anything Linux based is not showing up in the entitlement list or as remote support eligble.
Could have sworn they were on there. All I did was update the latest software using the software manager.
Anyone else run into this or have any suggestions?
SIM 5.2 SP2 currently with move to 5.3 SP1 in near future.
Thanks

Re: Linux servers show CW status but not on RS system list
Sean,
Are the Linux servers running Red Hat? If they are, open 'System Properties' and check the descriptive information about your servers. Are important facts, e.g., System sub-type 1, and or O/S version missing or incorrect?
If so configure this view statement in the snmpd.conf file:
view systemview included .1 80
Also, comment out any view statements you find in the snmpd.conf file. Remember, to restart snmpd to make the changes effective. Now, in HP SIM, run an identify task. The server should now have complete descriptive information in 'System Properties' and better still show up on the Remote Support Systems List, visible on the 'Entitlement' tab.
Take care,
frank

Frank,
Yes, they are running Red Hat.
I will give those a shot and see what happens.
Will let you know.
Thanks,
Sean

Re: Linux servers show CW status but not on RS system list
Actually, yes they have all the correct full info on the properties pages.
I am noticing now though that the guys that added it, have it set to Monitoring of the system is suspended indefinitely for health status.
To me that shouldn't affect CW info, but who knows.
