Will a Model 3 Central Server node work ok behind an SPOP? We want to use the Insight Mgr Server as the Model 3 Central Server, and still have ISEE incidents flow through the SPOP to HP.

Solution
Yes Neil, the model 3 (AKA Central Client Server) will work with an SPOP. When you configure the central client running on your Insight Mgr Server you will need to point the information flows to the SPOP, i.e., enter the SPOP hostname in the server name field. That should do it.
If you have any problems let me know ... there could be some firewall issues depending on where you have deployed the SPOP.
Take care,
Frank

Re: Model 3 Central Server behind SPOP
Hello Neil,
if you use the latest version of SIM and the latest version of OSEM you will see that information that the are handed over to ISEE in the SIM. If OSEM and SIM are not on the same server you need to make sure that the communication between OSEM and SIM will work properly and the setup for the SNMP community works fine!
If you want to use Model 3 think of the "managed client" setup in OSEM!
Regards
Frauke
