Problem installing ISEE on HP-UX 11.11

I am trying to install ISEE on one of our HP-UX boxes.
I have downloaded the proper software from hp.com.
I have placed it in my /tmp/depots which is a registered depot.

Based on the installation guide, I am running the following command:
#swinstall -s /tmp/depot/VAEHbundle_1.02.01_HP-UX_B.11.00_32+64.depot ISEEPlatform

I get an error and I don't know why or what to do.
PS: I've never done this before!

Any help anyone could provide would be appreciated!

David,

The package you are trying to install is for Virtual Array Event Handler (VAEH), what you should do is go back to the download site, select ISEE, then pull down to the bottom of the list, you will find the ISEE package for your Server. The version should ve A.03.95.026.

Installing the proper software is certainly a good idea!
I did get an error when running swinstall:


* Beginning the Configure Execution Phase.
NOTE: Upgrading from ealier version of client
NOTE: Email options are successfully added.
NOTE: HPUX version is B.11.11
WARNING: ISEE was unable to send an entitlement incident.
Please check /var/opt/hpservices/log/submitIncident.log for more
information.
ERROR: The "configure" script for "ISEE-Chorus" failed (exit code
"1"). The script location was
"/var/tmp/BAAa19206/catalog/ISEE-Chorus/pfiles/configure".
* This script had errors and the execution of this product
cannot proceed until the problem is fixed. Check the above
output from the script for further details.

The script is no longer in /var/tmp.
Is there something else I need to install?

Please take a look at /var/adm/sw/swinstall.log or you can upload the file here.

I can't figure out why it tried to send the Entitlement incident during the initial installation.

Dave,

Please make sure you have the correct Online Diagnostic version (run cstm to find version). The current is A.49.xx.

Also, please make sure you have the requirement patches:

btw: What is the model number for this Server?

Thanks again for your response.
We have version A.47.00 for cstm.
How can I upgrade?

I checked and all patches are installed.

The model number is K580.

I went back into swinstall and the error message I got was that ISEE was already installed. Shall I continue with the configuration?

It is sometimes better to remove the old package entirely with swremove, then install the newer version as a fresh install.

Just make sure you have a hard copy of your registration info before you remove the older version

swremove ISEEPlatform should remove ISEE.
Also, check to make sure VAEH component is no longer there. If it's, remove it too. I know you did attempt to install VAEH at one time.

Looks like it installed!
Ran swremove on ISEEPlatform and redid swinstall.
No errors!

Trying to configure...
We do not use a proxy server, but it seems as if HP cannot login to pandora and is then trying to use the proxy (which we don't use).
I'm re-booting my system now and will try again.
