During SIM 5.2.2 Remote Support Pack install I get the following error. It appears that it is failing when it tries to create the .marimba directory. I have attached the entire log file from the failure. The management station is a windows XP box. Windows cannot handle . files like unix. Is this the cause of the failure? What do I do?
Installation failed. Attempting to determine if the failure was caused by Microsoft DEP settings.
Opening C:\Program Files\HP\SWMAgent\\.marimba\ISEE_CMS_SWMAGENT\launch.log
WARNING: Unable to determine if installation failure was caused by Microsoft DEP settings: File not found
ERROR creating command queue. setupCli returned: 1. Installation Failed.
See C:\Progra~1\Hewlett-Packard\SWMAgent\SWM\Logs\CommandQueueInstall.log for more information.

Solution
Per the following document (RSP pre-reqs) Windows XP is NOT a supported O/S...needs to be W2K, W2K3. http://docs.hp.com/en/netsys.html#Service%20Essentials%20Remote%20Support%20Pack
Enjoy and good luck!

Re: Remote Support Pack Install Error
Thanks Michael. I checked the OS requirements and it states that if you run SIM on XP that you cannot load Remote Support Pack. Thanks for the help.
