Re: SNMP Versions supported in HPSim V6.x
HP SIM on Windows utilizes the standard Microsoft SNMP service.

Re: SNMP Versions supported in HPSim V6.x
Thank you David,
I guess I should have been more specific in my question. We are configuring HPSim to forward from the CSM to a non-HP NMM. The only question I can't answer that the NNM admin has asked me is what version of SNMP will be used to forward. The current standard is V3 but they are willing to let others in if that is all we can support.

Solution
If you select the Event Action forward as snmp trap (version 1 or more exact 1C).
You can define an Event Action which runs Custom Tool which starts a script or program.
A little bit tricky to get the parameter but an easy way to connect to third-party software.
I assumed that you have a windows based SIM server.

Re: SNMP Versions supported in HPSim V6.x
Thank you, V1c is the info I was looking for. And yes, there is a third party top level portal we are forwarding to. The plan is to keep it as simple as possible so the automatic events are the way we are planning to go.
