WBEM alerts not creating service incidents
I am trying out one server using WBEM instead of SNMP and WBEM generates error messages, but doesn't create service incidents.
When I pull a power cord on the server I receive the following error message: Power Supply Failed. With SNMP I receive: Power Redundancy Lost (6032), A service incident has been reported (Type 4) and A service incident has been reported (Type 3).
The SNMP alerts create a ticket automatically with HP, but nothing from WBEM.
Is this the expected result with WBEM, or am I missing a step somewhere?
Thanks.

Re: WBEM alerts not creating service incidents
Have you subscribed to WBEM events under options, events on the SIM management server?
We are about to test it for servers in our DMZ. No SNMP traffic allowed.

Re: WBEM alerts not creating service incidents
Yes.
I receive the alerts fine, but tickets are not opened at HP like with the SNMP alerts.
Try on your servers and let me know if you get responses and tickets automatically opened.
Thanks for your response.
