WEBES Incidents sent to HP, no approval

In the past with OSEM, we were able to configure the software so that incidents that occured could would need approval before sending out to HP.

Does anyone know if it's possible to set this up the same way with WEBES. It's really annoying to be doing maintanance work on servers, and just the act of removing the power plug to one power supply sends an alert to HP about a failed power supply. Starting a huge incident case which just wastes everyones time.

Thanks.

There is a way to do this but itâ s a bit more cumbersome that using OSEM ï

What you need to do is in SIM go to options>remote support and configuration services>entitlement tab

Disable the transport for the endpoints you do not want to send to HP real-time using the â action listâ

When an event it generated it will show up in SIM but there will be no type 4 service event from WEBES. When you check WEBES Notification page you will see that it was â undelivered ISEEâ

When you want the event to be delivered,
Go back to options>remote support and configuration services>entitlement tab
And enable the transport for the endpoint using the action list drop down

Copy down the ID from number from the WEBES notification page

At the bottom on the WEBES Notification page you will see a dispatch tab.

Click on the dispatch tab and in Step 1 select the problem report you wish to send.

In Step 2 select ISEE and then hit the Send Notification button.

Click on the Status Tab at the bottom of the WEBES Notification page and you should see an ISEE Incident id generated for you event

Re: WEBES Incidents sent to HP, no approval

A possibility which can be used for all remote support eligible devices is to turn off/on the remote transport in HP-SIM under "Options" - "Remote Support Configuration and Services..".
The column TE (Transport Enable) shows the actual state.

Thanks for the info guys. It's too bad it's this complicated for something that seems so basic.

I never thought I'd miss OSEM.
