# telnet isee.americas.hp.com 80
Dear ISEE experts,
I read at ISEE doc, first of all before we install ISEE, we must check first the connection between Server to ISEE server.
I try to telnet :
# telnet isee.asiapacific.hp.com 80
Trying...
Connected to isee.asiapac.hp.com
Escape character is '^]'.
But we stuck on this state, but if we type "^]" , it will be to telnet>
we don't see display as below :
HTTP/1.1 400 Bad Request
Server: Microsoft-IIS/5.0
Date: Sat, 07 May 2005 11:11:41 GMT
Content-Type: text/html
Content-Length: 87
Error The parameter is incorrect.
Connection closed by foreign host.
Could you share with us, what's happen with this ?
I have talk to customer and request to them, to open port 80 for ISEE requirement.
Many thanks in advance.
Rgds
Maya

"^]" it you the Escape character to end up the telnet session to the server. To get the html cose you need to request the page
by typing:
GET /motivedocs/wait.html (press "Enter" 2x)

Re: # telnet isee.americas.hp.com 80
Hi,
If you are having problem connecting to HP backend, those (telnet, http) are the tools to find out if you can at least you can make the connection.
From your results above, your Server seems to be okay, unless there is something else which you did not post here.
mad.log should tell you more if there is a problem/error.
Hope this helps.
