unable to start the ISEE GUI.

I am not able to start the ISEE GUI. Please kindly advice.

Hi,

If this is HP-UX, check if mad daemon is running (ps -ef | grep mad)
If it's not running, start it up:
/sbin/init.d/hpservices start

If this is Windows, check for process mad.exe
If it's not running, start it up from Services and the name is HP ISEE.

Are you connecting to the server remotely?
If that's the case you should use following url to connect to the ISEE client:

http://localhost:5060/start.html

Hi,

Also make sure jre 1.3 or lattest is installed in the system.

If this is windows, you cannot launch ISEE via Terminal Service / RDP session. You have to logon to the console which you do in with RDP in Windows 2003. Otherwise you'll have to connect to the console via another method, or use the URL provided above.
