Re: Access ORCA on P410i?
So for anyone stumbling across this thread:
HP has their hpacuoffline bootable ISO that can be used to run the graphical ACU utility for configuring Smart Array controllers and volumes before/without an OS is running. If one wants to eg. use ZFS instead of HBA RAID, one strategy is to configure each physical disk as a single-disk RAID0 volume, which the OS can then see.

Re: Access ORCA on P410i?
Thank you for fast reply.
I compaired sandman.bin from integrity firmware with same version from regular - there is no binary difference. I flashed integrity firmware to my controller and it works fine.
Also I tried last integrity version 6.22b0 wich should have toggle mode entry in ORCA but It have not appeared there.
I tried on both p411 and p410i controllers.
I suppose firmware difference is not a reason I can't toggle the mode.
Some kind of Company politics?... ;-)

Re: Access ORCA on P410i?
AFAIK there was never a same version for them. The version numbers were always different.
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Re: Access ORCA on P410i?
I flashed this firmware image (for integrity servers) to my p410i and p411 installed in proliant server. No new ORCA entry.
Controllers work fine, so this firmware is suitable.
I suppose there is no hardware difference between p411 for integrity and regular p411 cards.
I found a help entry inside labels in firmware image contents:
"set hba_mode on|off"
But I can't find where I should enter this command. Nor ORCA CLI nor HPACUCLI does not accept it.
BTW such strings are also in "regular p411 firmwares"

Re: Access ORCA on P410i?
No idea, but maybe the firmware loader is bringing different versions of ORCA in place, depending on the platform?
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.
