Adding cell board in RX8640 server

How to add a new cell board in RX8640 and how to configure the cell board?

please provide me the steps need to follow.

 

Does it requires any downtime of server?

It depends on what you currently have and what you want to have. If you want to add the new cell to an existing nPar, you need to insert the cell, use parmgr to add the cell and do a reconfig reboot (unless you run with dynamic nPars.
If you want to create a new nPar, add the cell, create the nPar using parmgr and start that nPar. See also the nPar admin guide.
