I have a customer who is investigating using Microsoft's ASR for OS recovery on the RX8640. Since this server does not come with a floppy drive, does it rule out using ASR since it needs a floppy for backing up config files, or can a USB floppy or Virtual floppy be used for that function? Any other solutions that would be better?
Thanks

Solution
You can use ASR with USB floppy drive, DAT tape drive or a hard disk. However ASR is supported with Windows 2003 EE with SP1. So you need to have this CD while performing ASR.
