BMC/EFI boot sequence differences (rx2600)
It has been a while now that I've tried to change this, but every time I let it rest (as there were other, more pressing, issues). Yesterday I gave it a try again, but didn't get far. (I posted about this at comp.os.vms, but got no responses.)
This concerns the BMC/EFI and the situation is, as follows: One rx2600 has a тАШverboseтАЩ boot sequence, where it would actually prints all sorts of diagnostics and information (like destructive memory testing). Whereas another rx2600 is more тАШsuppressedтАЩ and only prints initialization messages.
I have tried changing the тАЬboottestтАЭ attributes, but that wouldn't affect it. I also couldn't find any information about it on the internet. Is this perhaps controlled by a jumper on the motherboard?
What I'm trying to achieve is to make the system with the тАШsuppressedтАЩ output to become тАШverbose,тАЩ like the other system. Especially because of some recent problems I've had with that particular system (see my previous thread), it would be more than convenient.

Re: BMC/EFI boot sequence differences (rx2600)
I still haven't managed to find anything with regard to this.
Is there perhaps a document outlining this, how to change this (either in software or hardware, e.g. with a jumper setting) or can't it be changed once configured as such?

Re: BMC/EFI boot sequence differences (rx2600)
Hi MG You can also verify , if the autoboot option set like "HPUX> boot vmunix -v"
