if I am running an oracle database on an RX2600, while I have to recompile the oracle database to run on an RX3600.
We would like to use the RX2600 as a test machine for the oracle database

Solution
They are 100% compatible, because both are Itanium II systems.
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Hi,
as the previous replies it is 100% compatible because both have the same architecture (Itanium based),further to add, there is backward compatibility if you migrate applications from a PA-RISC machine to another Itanium ,this provided by Aries library, see the link below for further details.
