CPU socket information

Hi

How to collect information about CPU sockets? Particulary, How to find the unpopulated CPU sockets on PA-RISC & IA64 system?

You can use cstm generate a cpu map file and you can find that info in there.

cstm does not list unpopulated CPU sockets. Will try from MP. But, is there any command we can run it on OS layer and find CPU socket information?

cstm does list populated and unpopulated sockets for RISC systems, but you need to know the system model in order to know what is the maximum.

Same for "machinfo" or "parstatus" on Integrity or cell based servers.
