No! But you can reset the iLO by hoding down the red reset buttion and then connect to it with the default IP address of 192.168.1.1. You should be able to connect with https://192.168.1.1, or ssh or telnet.

Sorry! I don't have an rx2620 in my inventory to check. But even if its not red, there should be a small reset button next to the iLO network port on the back side of the cabinet. The kind you have to use a pin point or paper clip to press.

Re: Can I setup ILO port in hpux or efi ?

If you reset, the ILO IP will be either 127.0.0.1 or DHCP, depending on firmware. The DHCP hostname in this case is mp<ilo-mac-address>.

Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Re: Can I setup ILO port in hpux or efi ?

Torsten,

Really! They changed the default IP address of the iLO to the loopback address! How would anybody connect to it from another computer?  Are you sure about that? I'm not saying your wrong, I'm just surprised that they would do something like that. That would mean you have to use a terminal device to connect to the serial port unless you had a DHCP running and you knew the MAC Address.

Re: Can I setup ILO port in hpux or efi ?

I don't have ilo CONNECTION yet, so, I could not get to MP:CM>, as far as I know.

However, I can use kvm, and can get to the console, would that help me to configure ILO?

I feel surprised as well to hear I can go to website to configure ILO

Re: Can I setup ILO port in hpux or efi ?

If you have a console serial line already connected, then you can get to the same place as the iLO takes you. You don't need the iLO network port, unless you want to use the web based console.  If your not seeing the MP Main Menu from the console connection, then somebody probably didn't log off the console.  Try using Control-B to escape to the menu.

Re: Can I setup ILO port in hpux or efi ?

I have the console access through VGA port, and by using kvm switch. CNTRL+B doens't work, so I can not get to MP prompt.

What is the equivalent to CNTRL+B, and i can get to MP prompt on a kvm connectiton?

Hi Hanry,

Yes you can get MP access Via KVM, if it is configured..
