Hi,
I am also using the RJ45-DB9pin connector and the pinout of these connectors are not the same for all. Some have complete 8 conductors while some only have 4. Other have differrent pinning. If you are using the same connectors on both your pc and the server, then you can not use a straight lan cable. You have to change the pinning on one of the RJ45-DB9pin connector. Just change exchange pin 2 and 3 at one of the connector.
