Cant add boot to EFI menu
The system came with 1 Npar. I split the two cell boards off (cell2,3) and created a new partition.
Now I cant get the partition to boot.
I hav read thru the manual a couple of time but I am not seeing wht I am missing.
I need another set of eyes to help me find out what I am not doing correctly.
Thanks

Re: Cant add boot to EFI menu
I assume you've done the obvious and created a whole new filesystems for root, /stand, etc for your new partition? And loaded HP-UX into it?

Re: Cant add boot to EFI menu
Move cells back to working partition.
Mirror the boot drive to the first drive in the hardware path for each cell.
Create the new partition again and assign the cells.

Re: Cant add boot to EFI menu
This sounds overly complicated. What type of mirroring?
It seems you should use ignite to clone the system?

Re: Cant add boot to EFI menu
I found that the sys lan mac for the partition 0 is the same as the mac for the sys lan presented by the efi menu on partition1.
Part 0
0x001F290C19D7
Part1
(as seen in efi menu)
[(0x001F290C19D7)]

Re: Cant add boot to EFI menu
MP:CM> sysrev
this will also tell something about the system config.
Hope this helps!
