Configure memory on RX2600
Hi
I had 2 GB Ram and I add more 2 GB ram.
All according to the right "Memory Loading Order" by HP.
I get error on the EFI : "One or more memory ranks deallocated due to DRAM failures"
What can I do with it?
Thanks
Attach is the error file

Re: Configure memory on RX2600
Hi
Looks like one of the memory module is having issues or failed(this can happen by the way we handle them due to static charge on our body)
If it is not correctable then there is some problem with the DRAM.
Rgds

Re: Configure memory on RX2600
Hi,
Please share the Part number and the configuration information for the same memory.
Few information regarding the memory for the same server.
-------------------------------------------
The system has 12 memory slots for installing DDR SDRAM memory modules.
The system has a maximum of 12 GB of memory and a minimum of 512 MB.
These memory modules can either be 256 MB, 512 MB or 1 GB, and they have to be arranged as ordered pairs of equal size.
For example, if you place a memory module of size 1 GB in slot 0A then you must insert a 1 GB memory module in slot 0B.
Memory in the rx2600 must be loaded in quads. This means that you have to load two memory cards per cell.
For example, using the loading order provided above, place DIMMs in slots 0A and 0B of memory cell 0 and in slots 1A and 1B in memory cell 1.
Part number :
256MB PC2100 DDR-SDRAM A7840A
512MB PC2100 DDR-SDRAM A7841A
1.0GB PC2100 DDR-SDRAM A7842A
Regards,
Prashant S.
