Re: Configuring ILO

The system already configured 4 vlans and working well
Hardware wise when you install ILO , is it a lan card ?? or what kind of Hardware do we need to install and How would I detect
it once installed ?? and once on the web do i use http or https to get its web console.
Thanks

Re: Configuring ILO

Look at the rear - is there a VGA connector?

The MP is optional for the rx2620 - this is a separate card mounted at the chassis and connected to the system board via a small flex cable.
It provides 3 serial (via a special W cable), a LAN and a VGA port.

If you look at the rear you will see "management card" written on the chassis - is there a card?

Hope this helps!

Torsten.

Re: Configuring ILO

I do not believe that the LAN port of the already mentioned to be the separate and optional MP in an rx2620 is supposed to appear to the host in any direct form you would see in ioscan. IIRC the only stuff that will appear from the MP will be some serial devices and perhaps some USB for the virtual media support (on those systems where there is virtual media support in the MP/ILO - the rx2660 has it but not IIRC the rx2620)

Re: Configuring ILO

Its confirmed > Hardware engineer told me that he put the ILO card in the machine their was no ILO cards.

Now I need to configure them.I dont know what command can verify that cards is in their, and I dont know what will be the steps for confiure this ILO.

Should I need to physically go to Data center or can configure remotly through already configured managment Valns.

I would login to the system as root thourgh our mamagment vlan

As Hardware personal advice would not be able to check with any command like Ioscan ,

Re: Configuring ILO

You already have the link for the procedure of setup. Here it is again:

http://docs.hp.com/en/AD117-9001A/ch06.html

Depending on the firmware version, the MP may be set up to use DHCP by default.

If you don't have DHCP, you need to connect via serial line to the MP (see the documentation).

Hope this helps!
