Re: Configurring MP in HP ux server

You meant to say that you need configure you IP and Hostname of your server from Console Login ?

Use below commands

set_parms hostname

or

vi /etc/rc.config.d/netconf

Re: Configurring MP in HP ux server

Hello..

Easiest is to use "set_parms".

http://docs.hp.com/en/B3921-60631/set_parms.1M.html

#set_parms initial #Step through all the following operands

#set_parms hostname #Set the system host name. set_parms edits /etc/hosts

#set_parms ip_address #Set or change the primary IP address for the system. It does not notify DNS

#set_parms addl_netwrk #Set the subnet mask (which defines the network and local subnet portions of a network address), set the default routing gateway, and define access to the Domain Name System (DNS) and Network Information Service (NIS).
