Creating new nPar on rx8640 - how to specify Boot Paths and IO Cards?
Am splitting a 2 cell npar into 2 x 1 cell nPars. From the documentation, I see the parcreate command is issued from another npar, but the boot device config must be entered from the MP for the npar.
However I cannot see where the boot devices are listed on the rx8640 (these are cells on the primary chassis). Is there a PDF where the paths are listed for the rx8640, or do I just do a device listing using the EFI Shell?
Share and Enjoy! Ian

Re: Creating new nPar on rx8640 - how to specify Boot Paths and IO Cards?
Hi Ian,
If I understand the issue correctly, You would like to remove the existing partition (2 Cell in rx8640) and want to create 2 nPar (each one Cell) in existing system.
If so, you need to remove the exiting partition after taking required backup then, Gensis partition has to be created from MP, it will be the primary npar, later you can add new nPar from there.
More infromation check the nPartition Administrator's Guide:
