Customize descriptions on GSP partitions

I have read through the help screens but must be missing what command is used to customize the names of the partitions. We currently show this:

Partitions available:
# Name
--- ----
0) Partition 0 - UX
1) Partition 1
2) Partition 2 - UX
Q) Quit

And we would like to customize the descriptions. Any guidance would be appreciated. (This is for an rx8640).

Re: Customize descriptions on GSP partitions

The syntax is

# parmodify -p PartitionNumber -P PartitionName

from a running HP-UX instance.

example:

# parmodify -p 0 -P "first hp-ux partition"

Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

That was it! Thanks - I don't think I ever would have found that on my own.

Re: Customize descriptions on GSP partitions

You are welcome Scott.

There is an alternative.

You can use the System Management Homepage. The partition management is IMHO the best tool in smh. You also use the online replacement features from there (olrad).
