Re: Disk red led

SOLUTION:

1. REMOVE ALL disk (internal) from server rx2600.
2. Unplug TWO (all) power supplay
3. wait for a minute
4. Replace all disk (in ther original slot)
5. Plug PS
6. Start Server form GSP

It's all

For me that work fine !

Tnks for all !!

Re: Disk red led

First off, this is an educated guess based on my knowledge of other scsi devices. I am not certain that this will apply to A9897A drives, but in my experience SCSI LED errors tend to point to the same general issue.

In my experience, a RED LED that goes GREEN with disk activity has always meant one of 2 things:
1) There is a power fault somewhere in the system that is causing the SCSI disk to get "dirty" power.
2) The disk is getting too hot.

Hope this helps

Ivajlo,

Have you heard about green goggles..?

If it works fine, leave it alone ! just kidding..got to have fun here..

Re: Disk red led

I think since there is no problems occurd with the disk, better forgot about it.Keep an eye on the particular disk always

Re: Disk red led

Andy,

I think, that in my case red let is switch on from disk back plane.
1. There isn't a power fault, other disk work fine and problem disk work fine on other slot.
2. Env is ok.

Q4you,Sunilkumar

My boss never forgot about red let :(

Jimkery,

For me it wasn't funny :) pls believe me.
I'm sure that disk plane remind some disk problem and funny part is that you can not switch this warning of and event you put new disk it still remaind you that in that slot was problem.
I have same situation with PS again over rx2600.

tnks all.
