Re: EFI Shell prompt
you can only get to the EFI shell prompt, if OpenVMS is NOT running, so you need to reboot your system and exit to the EFI shell from the EFI Boot Manager menue by selecting 'EFI Shell [Built-in]'.

Re: EFI Shell prompt
If you are at a "fs" prompt, just enter "exit". This will take you back to the Boot_Manager Screen, and then you can scroll down to the Shell entry.

Re: EFI Shell prompt
Obviously there is nothing to be seen with the SET command from EFI that shows where the current FileSystem is saved. I can't figure out if there is something to be seen with DMPSTORE.
What problem do you want to solve?
You may not need to change into a FileSystem, at least you can issue a command like fs0:\efi\vms\vms_loader from the Shell> prompt.

Re: EFI Shell prompt
Why do you care what the prompt is? What
doesn't work? Is there some actual problem
which you are trying to solve?
> Should i reboot my node [...]
If it will make you feel better, it's ok with
me.

Re: EFI Shell prompt
If you want to come back Shell> prompt I think reboot is the only answer.
But why you want to come back, you can switch to any fsN: prompt from any other fsN: prompt. Also all the commands which executes at prompt> can also be executed at fsN: prompt.
Are you facing any specific issue at fsN: prompt ?

Re: EFI Shell prompt
Yes, I think that HP could make things like the "efi shell command reference" manual a lot easier to find, but with a bit of effort you can find the information you want. All you have to do then is read it, understand it and apply it. There's some useful EFI related information in the OpenVMS V8.3-1H1 release notes for example: http://h71000.www7.hp.com/openvms/v831h1_relnotes_and_nf-1.pdf
If you want some general information about moving to Integrity Servers in an OpenVMS environment, this might be useful: http://www.downloads.xdelta.co.uk/2007/2007_10_02-nl_vmstud_porting-colin_butcher-v1_4.pdf

Re: EFI Shell prompt
Much of the EFI (or at least its framework concepts) are not HP's, but are directly from Intel originally.
The Intel page for EFI is http://www.intel.com/technology/efi/ . There is also a pointer to the EFI committee at http://www.uefi.org/home/
