I am trying to perform an EFI firmware update for a A6795A 2Gbps/1Gbps Fibre Channel 4X PCI HBA.
I am following the instructions at https://h20293.www2.hp.com/portal/swdepot/displayInstallInfo.do?productNumber=A6795AEFI
I download the the EFI update however following the instructions, I do not have efi_mkdir or efi_cp set of tools that are required.
Solved! Go to Solution.

Re: EFI firmware update for A6795A. but no efi_mkdir??
You could try to use usb devices to update the driver from EFI.
- Copy the file into usb drive and insert the usb drive into available usb port
- From EFI shell, map -r
Shell> map -r
blkE : Acpi(HWP0002,0)/Pci(1|1)/Usb(1,0)/Usb(0, 0)
- blkE:
- find the file and run the update

Sandy

SolutionThese utilities are the part of HPUX 11.23 which is for Integrity servers where EFI exist. You won't find them on 11.11
If you read the installation instructions given in the link you posted, there is mention of IPF which is nothing but Integrity.

Check firmware requirement on:
http://docs.hp.com/en/FCD-SM/fc_support_matrix.htm
how to upgrade firmware is depend on your server type, for entry based server, you can use patches to upgrade firmwar
