ES80 HW equivalent
I need to find out the equivalent HP Hardware and Sun if possible of ES80 alpha server with one CPU.
As i will use this in the upgrade phase.

Here are the available Integrity entry level servers, the rx2800i2 is the latest:

Note: OpenVMS v8.4* is written there.

Let us focus on the Hardware, Digital classifies ES80 as Mid-range server. which i believe it should be replaced with a mid-range or high-end server from HP (rx8xxx , rx7xxx or superdome). please correct me if i am wrong.

You say you have 1 CPU, the rx2800 can have up to 8 cores, like the rx6600.
The major difference is the capacity of I/O slots, keep this in mind while you select a model.
