SolutionMFS (Memory File Storage)
On Integrity machines, this allows the boot loader to load all of the files required to boot HPUX in memory before it properly accesses the disk.
It loads the specific system files required to boot the server, eg drivers, and then once they are loaded it hands over to the disk HPUX to manage the system.
So, Have you tried to re-install HPUX?
What version of EFI do you have?
You may have just been unfortunate with your installation, and reloading it may cure it.
This may also be an EFI problem, so it may be worth upgrading to the latest version if you aren't already.
Also, from you MP, can you check to see if you have any Memory Dimm errors?
Regards,
Phil

Re: Error installing HP-UX 11i v3 on Integrity rx1600
I downloaded System, BMC $ MP firmware and upgraded it. EFI version is 1.10 revision 14.62
System firmware version is 4.27
BMC version is 4.01
I run Itanium diagnostics IPF 0806 and memory is fine. I don't get any fail.
I'm checking disk, and don't get any activity. Don't know if it has any relationship with my MFS error.

Re: Error installing HP-UX 11i v3 on Integrity rx1600
System Requirements
1.5 GB memory, minimum
http://docs.hp.com/en/5992-3364/ch02s01.html
you need 1GB more at least.
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

MFS uses a "chunk" of the memory, but 512MB isn't very much.
