Failed DIMM in rx8620
Hi, I have an rx8620 with a failed DIMM. Can I simply replace this part? I have heard that some type of code may be required to "activate" the replacement DIMM and that this is only available from HP.
Is anyone able to verify or refute this.
Thanks,
Duncan

Re: Failed DIMM in rx8620
Is the system not under warranty or a hardware support contract?
If so you should be able to get HP to replace it... otherwise simply purchase a replacement - you certainly don't need a "code" from HP to replace DIMMs in servers...

PS... being called Duncan and living in Oz, you have my sympathies - I was only there for 3 weeks and got completely sick of THAT song (I'm sure you know the one!)
