Fan cooler & Integrity rx 1620

It's possible to control the velocity of the fans during the stand by of a rx 1620 server box? Any ideas...

Re: Fan cooler & Integrity rx 1620

Please clarify!

During standby means the server is powered off? The fans will be off too.

However, even if the box is running, the firmware takes control of the fans depending on temperature.

Hope this helps!

Torsten.

Yes, okay, powered off, no fans, no nothing... But after a "shutdown -h", the server will be standing by, leds green and yellow blinking, and the fans on, even if a little bit more soft comparatively when I press the power button. My question is: how I  can (if I can or must...) setting up the firmware to control theses activities of the fans during the standing by stage?

Re: Fan cooler & Integrity rx 1620

After a shutdown the system should be off.

Check the ACPI setting from EFI shell.

Maybe a command like

Shell> acpiconfig default

or

Shell> acpiconfig enable softpowerdown

helps.

What does

Shell> acpiconfig

show?

Hope this helps!

Re: Fan cooler & Integrity rx 1620

Well,

Shell> acpiconfig default

´acpiconfig´ not found

Exit status code: Invalid parameter

... the EFI's version didn't support the command acpi.

(Firmware revision 2.18 and EFIEFI ver 1.10)

regards

Re: Fan cooler & Integrity rx 1620

Your firmware version is likely much too old:
