Firmware upgrade to E0.2.26 for HP rx 2600

Can you Please help me in getting this
firmware upgrade?
As it is not Available in HP site. Please
attach the same if somebody have this?

The location of firmwares on the HP web site has changed.
The rp and rx server firmwares are now available in http://www.hp.com/go/support (Select "Download drivers and software", type in "rx2600", then select your OS version on the next page).

The current firmware is now 02.31B. Would this be OK, or do you specifically need the old version?

the E0.2.26 version is very old, from 2003.

The current version is

VERSION: System 02.31, BMC 01.53, and iLO MP E.03.30

The response center told me that there is supposed to be a new rx2600 firmware upgrade coming out. They said in two weeks, two weeks ago. I haven't been able to comfirm this. We are having a problem with a fan going marginal and the system tells one of the redundant power supplies to turn off to reduce the heat load. The response center tells me this is because the firmware is marking the fan as marginal because the threashold is too high and the new firmware will relax the criteria.

Can anyone confirm this?

I forgot to mention that our problem only happens a couple of minutes at a time. The power supply turns off, a couple minutes later the fan goes back up to normal speed, the system turns the power supply back on.

Some days it doesn't happen at all, some days three or four times.

I want to know if I should wait for this firmware or just go ahead and git the fan replaced.

Something to Note:
E.02.26 (MP Firmware), This image Increases the size of the allowed firmware image.
Therefore I suspect that it will be the case that you will to upgrade to this version BEFORE you plan to upgrade to a more current version.

There is a similar rule that applies to RP3440's (E.02.29 - i think from memory).
So again, you need to upgrade to these versions as a "stepping stone" before you upgrade to a more current version.
