Get the following error when trying to run the smart setup disk

INF file textsetup.sif file is corrupt or missing, status 4. Setup cannot continue. Press any key to exit.


Anyone have a suggestion?

Probably you have damaged smart setup disk. Use other copy.

Hi

This clearly points to a defective media , you need to try with a different cd.

I found the problem. I was trying to use an "update" rather than a "setup" disk....

duh.
