HP Integrity RX 2620
i just got a refurbished hp integrity rx 2620 server. on the back panel i can see that it doesnt have an iLO port, neither a VGA port. i can see to console port (serial). i managed to grab a serial cable, plugged on back panel of server, and one on back of a pc. when i open hyper teminal or tera term pro, connect to the com1, nothing appears, though the server boots up without no warning & no failure leds.. any idea on how to access it using console???

Re: HP Integrity RX 2620
However, the console should fall back to the serial port.
Are you using the correct speed (9600 by default) with your terminal emulator?
You should see the EFI shell and after the boot the OS console from there.
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Re: HP Integrity RX 2620
it is also possible that you have to use a serial cross-cable (so called null modem). Try it if you have verified that your serial communication settings are correct and you still can't see anything in the console output.
