Re: HP SIM -> rx2660
The HP-UX server <-> HP SIM communication works via WBEM, follow the SIM managed system guide to get this work. Meanwhile you can check the status via STM or system management homepage (smh).
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Re: HP SIM -> rx2660
In order to monitor the server with HP SIM, you have to switch from STM to SFM, then the WBEM providers will inform HP SIM about problems. You can also check with SMH. Check the guide!
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Re: HP SIM -> rx2660
Ok! Thx torsten. I will try your solution and the net-snmp. I think net-snmp its more easy and is extensible to others agent's.
Thx

Re: HP SIM -> rx2660
It really depends on what you want to do.
If you want to monitor this server only, use the SMH:
HP SIM can monitor a huge range of products (not only hp) and in combination with insight remote support it opens automatically a hardware case at hp support, it checks if your contracts are still valid ... etc...
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.
