IMHO this firmware update is really orth to try. The fan controller controls the fans and may cause the trouble.


However, after changing the board check the firmware again and update if needed!

I have seen this issue before and as Torsten already explained the firmware (HFC) update/reflash fixes this fan issue, normally there is no need to change parts but if you do decide to do so, check the f/w again as it might need the very same update as metioned.

You can use the built-in ftp server on your PC (e.g. windows or linux), the MP/iLO is the client in this situation. Communication is over the MP/iLO LAN, OS is not invloved.
