Maybe someday i lost ip connection.

I have bought this cable

usb-2-0-to-9-25-pin-serial-rs232-cable-db9.jpg

On laptop (linux) i see

[ 1628.533984] usb 1-1: new full-speed USB device number 2 using xhci_hcd
[ 1628.698668] usb 1-1: New USB device found, idVendor=1a86, idProduct=7523
[ 1628.698674] usb 1-1: New USB device strings: Mfr=0, Product=2, SerialNumber=0
[ 1628.698676] usb 1-1: Product: USB2.0-Ser!
[ 1628.699122] ch341 1-1:1.0: ch341-uart converter detected
[ 1628.699918] usb 1-1: ch341-uart converter now attached to ttyUSB0

On minicom side i use 9600 bn1 software

On hpilo (CA command) list

Current Local Serial Port Configuration:
     Bit Rate in bits/sec : 9600
     Flow Control : Software

Current Remote/Modem Serial Port Configuration:
     Bit Rate in bits/sec : 38400
     Flow Control : Software
     Modem Presence : Always connected
     Modem Protocol : CCITT
     Transmit Configuration Strings : Enabled

But no prompt on minicom,why?

Re: Help for setting hpilo serial

You need a null modem adapter for the cable you are using.
