How many and what are the model numbers of all lan cards in a rx8640
Can you tell, from either the MP (tried but didn't see a way) or from a vpar how many lan cards are installed across the whole chasis and what models they are?
I checked out the parstatus and vparstatus and olrad and nwmgr commands but couldn't figure this out.
Thanks.

Re: How many and what are the model numbers of all lan cards in a rx8640
Hi Geoff,
IMHO you cannot. The MP is not aware what is in the slots, the running OS has only access to the assigned resources. So you need to collect an ioscan from all vPars and check with vparstatus if there are unassigned slots. You will only have access to unassigned slots if you are in nPar mode.
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.
