Solutiona. From the desktop screen, click Start, Programs, Accessories,

is displayed.
b. Enter a name for the description, and click OK. The Connect To window

c. Select the Communication Port that is connected to the KVM switch
through a serial cable, then click OK. The COM1 Properties window

Re: How to login to the MP console.
The default IP address for the LAN port on the MP is 192.168.1.1
You may telnet using this IP from any system which is configured in this network.

Siva.

Re: How to login to the MP console.
Read the following:
http://www.docs.hp.com/en/A7137-96001-en/A7137-96001-en.pdf
Chapter 4
You need to configure the MP, before you can install the server.
You can either configure the com-port or attached a laptop to the server with a cross-cable. Configure the ILO-Lan port with a ip-address, based on the MAC-address.

Re: How to login to the MP console.
Connect your laptop to the MP lan port using cross cable.
Change the ip address of your laptop to be on the same subnet as of MP(192.168.0.*)
From your laptop do a telnet to the MP ip address.
It will prompt you for the username/password
default will be Admin/Admin.
Regards
Patrick
