How to reset iLO of specific blade in HPE-Superdome-2
Dear All,
I want to reset iLO of specific balde ( blade# 2) in Superdome-2 server. I have run the bellow command but shown error.
SMDC-SD2-APP04> RESET ILO 2
Invalid Arguments
RESET BLADE { <bay number> }: Reset the blade bay by momentarily removing all
power.
Here server model is CB900s i4 . Mention that OS or server can not be rebooted because live system is running here.
Please assist on this if anyone has exact solution

Re: How to reset iLO of specific blade in HPE-Superdome-2
Hi Ranin_das,
I am from HPE Integrity support.
I see that the command you are executing is from OA (Onboard Administrator)
Although the command is right, it's not working.
Possible cause: Old Firmware on the server. If your server is running old revision prior to 4.0.4 it may not work.
Resoltution: If you want to perform iLO reset online, then your server should be loaded with the latest firmware.
Download latest firmware Version:4.2.54 (5 Jul 2018) from URL: https://support.hpe.com/hpsc/swd/public/detail?swItemId=MTX_476adca7f9a743ed92b2505397&swEnvOid=4001#tab1
Abstracts from release notes:
iLO may hang occasionally when running with complex firmware version 3.7.60 or higher.
Workaround: A new "reset ilo <bay #>" CLI command was introduced in version 4.0.4 to recover from the hang.

Please upgrade to Version:4.2.54 and the command should work.
Please mark the thread as complete, if you are satisfied with the resolution.
